When you think of Emory Village the first thing that may come to mind is Emory University, the CDC, or even Everybody’s Pizza. This quaint little gem in the heart of druid hills, however, has so much more to offer including great restaurants and good old-fashioned community charm. “What it’s missing is a late night destination for drinks and live music” according to owners of The Purple Corkscrew, the newest neighborhood wine bar.
“Our goal is to have live music every Friday & Saturday by September” says the owners or “Corkscrew Sisters” as they refer to themselves. The Purple Corkscrew is located just below Saba restaurant on Oxford Rd. The location serves a variety of wines, craft beers, small bites and crepes.
